Shane, our first champion, finished his American championship
owner-handled at 18 months, his Canadian championship undefeated in
the classes with multiple BOB's.
Although specialed on a limited basis, he was consistently nationally ranked, with multiple Group wins, his last at 7 1/2 years.
His movement, type and personality can be seen in his descendants, many champions who are regional Sweepstakes and Specialty winners.

Ch Danica's Russian Foxfire
Co-owned with Leonard Miller, she ran on his sled
team during the winter months. She was a Group placer from the
classes and finished easily.
She was bred twice at Danica producing 5 Champions.
Ch Danica's D'ble Dutch Chocolate CGC, TDI
The only pup in the litter by Ch Wolf River's
Drumlin X Ch Danica's Russian Foxfire, Dutch was special from the
very beginning. Since his mother was unable to care for him he
needed a foster mother. Fortunately, a female Samoyed who lived
nearby had whelped a litter just a week earlier and she readily
accepted him. He came home when he was barely 5 weeks old and lived
with us his entire life.
Beside his many show wins, including a Best in Specialty at Greater Pittsburgh Samoyed Club and multiple BOB's and Group placements, his important role was as a member of the family. For Dutch, he was always more human than dog.
